1. Who we are
ApexPro POS (“the App”, “the Service”) is a point-of-sale and business management product operated by BillyTechnologies (“we”, “us”, “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use ApexPro POS on web or mobile.
2. Information we collect
Account information: username, password (stored hashed), email address, phone number, and organization / shop details you provide at signup or in settings.
Business data you enter while using the Service: products, prices, stock, customers, sales, payments, expenses, reports, and related notes.
Device and technical data: app version, device type, approximate network status (for sync), and basic logs needed to keep the Service secure and reliable.
Optional communications: receipt or notification SMS/email you choose to send through the Service (for example to a customer after a sale), using providers you or we configure.
3. How we use information
To create and manage your account, organization, and team access.
To provide POS features: selling, inventory, customers, reports, billing/subscription, and offline sync.
To send transactional messages you initiate (such as receipt SMS) or account messages (verification, security, billing).
To maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
To comply with law or enforce our terms when required.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
We process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), based on your consent where required (for example certain marketing), and for legitimate interests such as securing and improving the Service, balanced against your rights.
6. Offline use and storage on your device
The mobile app may store catalog and pending sales data on your device so you can keep selling without internet. That data syncs to our servers when connectivity returns and you are signed in.
Anyone with access to an unlocked device where the app is logged in may see business data stored locally. Protect your device and sign out on shared phones.
7. Retention
We keep account and business data for as long as your organization uses the Service and as needed for backups, billing disputes, security, and legal obligations.
If you request account closure, we will delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it by law.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and keep your login private.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
You can update much of your profile information in the App settings. To delete your account and associated data, use our deletion request page: https://apex-pos-two.vercel.app/delete-account
For other requests, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
10. Children
ApexPro POS is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
